Techstars is seeking an Accelerator Lead to be the face of our Techstars Accelerator program and ultimately responsible for the overall success and high-quality execution of the program.This includes founder satisfaction, founder coaching, budget performance, founder business traction, and ultimately the investment outcomes of the program. 

As the Accelerator Lead, you will work closely with Managing Directors and the Global Platform Team to ensure founders are receiving proper coaching and have access to Techstars resources to accelerate their business growth. In this role, you will engage with the entrepreneurship community in their respective Techstars hub to drive more awareness of the Techstars brand and ensure the Techstars community of mentors, alumni, and investors is engaged and supported, yielding the highest possible outcomes for our Founders. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage full-time operations support team member(s) to ensure the successful execution of a Techstars Accelerator program. 
  • Deliver and facilitate the Techstars core curriculum during the program. 
  • Lead and facilitate key program activities such as Pitch Practice, Weekly CEO Roundtables & Weekly KPI/OKRs group sessions. 
  • Attract mentors and investors from the local area to the program, integrating them into the ecosystem and facilitating their connection with Techstars' larger global network.
  • Support founders during the program on their businesses via network introductions, access to Techstars resources, and business coaching.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Centralized Investment Team, including Managing Directors, to ensure alignment on expectations and desired outcomes for founders joining Techstars Accelerator program(s).
  • Responsible for the implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives within their respective program and team.
  • Host programming within their respective Techstars hub that helps foster the Techstars network of mentors, alumni, and investors to yield positive outcomes for Techstars portfolio founders’ businesses.
  • Serve as a Techstars brand ambassador in the local community by speaking at events and engaging with entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, and community leaders.

Required Experience:

  • 6-9 years professional experience  
  • 5+ years experience in the the Venture Capital industry and/or equivalent entrepreneurial experience 
  • Experience leading and facilitating workshops with a captive audience of a minimum of 20 industry leaders and founders.
  • Experience as a founder, co-founder, or early employee of a startup or equivalent experience advising early stage companies.
  • Experience managing teams, driving performance and development, providing strategic guidance and mentorship, holding team members accountable and driving a high-performance culture.
