Job Overview: Remote Dental Medical Biller

The Dental Medical Biller plays a crucial role in executing various aspects of revenue cycle workflows for our client's Members and Customers. This position focuses on ensuring optimal revenue collection while providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships that foster Member confidence in our client company and their team members.

 

Key Responsibilities for Remote Dental Billing Professionals

  1. Revenue Cycle Management:
    • Execute customer-specific revenue cycle workflows to accommodate federal, state, and payer-specific requirements
    •  
    • Manage coding requirements, collection regulations, and ensure optimal collections
    • Handle charges and transactions, accounts receivable, patient and payer phone calls
    • Process electronic remittance importing and reconciliation
    • Address rejections, denials, and appeals

 

Compliance and Research:

    • Access federal, state, and payer websites for revenue cycle tasks
    • Research and analyze federal, state, and payer coding and billing requirements
    • Stay up-to-date with various government regulatory updates impacting healthcare
  1. Professional Development and Collaboration:
    • Participate in training plans and opportunities to enhance knowledge
  2.  
    • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs
    • Build and maintain relationships with Members/RCR Customers and internal teams
    • Actively participate in committees and workgroups
  3. Workflow Optimization:
    • Analyze workflows and establish best practices in NextGen PM and operational processes
    • Serve as a mentor and resource for Tech I team members
    • Strive to meet or exceed attainable daily, weekly, and monthly goals

Remote Work Environment and Schedule

This full-time remote position offers a flexible work environment with the following schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand

 

Required Qualifications for our Remote Dental Billing Jobs

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 2+ years of billing experience
  • Experience with clearinghouses and healthcare portals
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • NextGen EPM/EDR experience or similar software proficiency

Highly Desired Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:

  • FQHC billing experience
  • NextGen EPM, EDR, and/or Optical experience
  • Dental billing experience
  • Behavioral Health billing experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
