The Role:

We're looking for a Firmware Engineer who is passionate about creating impact. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our hardware engineers and software team, bringing your expertise to the forefront of our product development. This is a unique opportunity to see your ideas come to life quickly and make a real difference in the sports technology industry.

Your Contributions:

  • Design, develop, and debug firmware for various devices, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
  • Utilise your knowledge of wireless communications, including GPS, Wi-Fi, BT, UWB, and RF, to enhance our product offerings.
  • Apply your experience with cellular protocol stacks, RF drivers, and hardware/firmware integration to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Employ your skills in RF schematic and PCB layout, ensuring optimal design and performance.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in assembly, C, and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience in embedded systems, particularly in mobile chipsets (Android/iOS device knowledge is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer, Segger Embedded Studio, and electromagnetic simulation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with RF lab instrumentation.
  • A background in team sports is advantageous, aligning with our company's focus and culture.

Must Haves:

  • Industry experience in low-level embedded software development, bringup, and testing
  • Familiarity with Arm Cortex-M architecture
  • Basic grasp of electronics fundamentals and ability to read schematics
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for testing and data analysis
  • Experience working with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other hardware test tools
  • Proficiency in C programming in embedded environments

Preferences:

  • Previous experience developing on Nordic nRF52 series SoCs
  • Familiarity with wireless charging techniques
  • Experience working with mobile application development teams to integrate IoT products
  • Strong understanding of the BLE protocol and implementation
  • Previous experience with location and positioning modules (GPS, IMU, etc.)
  • Previous software/firmware development on Linux distros and familiarity with CLI
  • Experience coding in assembly
  • Previous involvement in high school or collegiate sports
  • Physics background
