Position Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, dynamic editor to help shape and drive Muddy Stilettos’ continued growth and reputation in Cambs & Suffolk working directly with the Editor-in-Chief and the Senior Management team.

Please note: you MUST be a national journalist, and live in Cambs or Suffolk to apply for this post.

Key Areas of Responsibility

These include:
• Writing, researching… and editing reviews and features
• Idea generation for editorial and sales opportunities
• Newsletter generation
• Growing readership and followers across the site and social
• Social media promotion
• Assisting the editor-in-chief where required
• Representing the Muddy brand across the region

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Senior experience on national magazines and/or broadsheet titles as an editor or writer – this is a requirement
• Brilliant writing – accessible, witty, down-to-earth
• A strong visual eye for what makes a stylish image
• A full understanding of how PRs, sponsorship and advertising work together
• Comfortable with Adestra or similar platform
• Knowledge of WordPress is an advantage
• Ability to work comfortably across social platforms, particularly IG
• Ability to multi-task and work at pace
