Amazon's Sortation Center is now hiring Order Picker/Packer to join their team. Order Picker/Packer are an integral part of the warehouse-to-customer journey's initial phase. In a high-speed, physically demanding environment, you will stack, scan, and sort packages onto pallets, preparing customer orders for shipment. Most positions offer part-time shifts, resulting in more control over your work schedule.

  • Place products carefully in the shipping container, ensuring that each product is secure and that packaging materials are used as necessary to avoid damage
  • Enhance work performance by adopting advanced tools such as scanners, handheld printers, and computers
  • Can bear a burden of up to 49 pounds
  • During shifts, it's essential to engage in physical movements such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching, as they promote a healthy and active lifestyle
  • To move items from one place to another, employ gear such as dollies, carts, and hand trucks
  • Getting Around with Steps
  • Undertake work-related tasks on an elevated mezzanine, when applicable, at a maximum of 40 feet off the ground

The Physical Demands of Working in an Amazon Sortation Center:

  • Temperature Range: The temperature readings can fluctuate considerably between 60°F and 90°F, and in specific areas, heatwaves can elevate temperatures beyond 90°F.
  • Noise level: The provision of hearing protection is made to ensure safety of one's ears in a noisy atmosphere.
