<p><strong><u>Job Description</u></strong></p>

<p>As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will collaborate with Vendor Management, Hardware Engineering, Network Engineering and Mission Control Engineering (MCE) in managing purchase requests, tracking of delivery status, providing rack and component delivery guidance to data center teams and manage Invoices on hold. You will also handle sourcing requests for capacity deployment for Twitter’s growing hardware fleet.

he specific responsibilities include,</p>

  • <li>Create Purchase Requisitions for data center hardware and services; solving issues with Oracle IT/Procurement; support month-end inventory close &#8211;</li>
  • <li>Follow-up with suppliers on purchase order delivery status; address delivery discrepancies and documentation; provide weekly supply updates to Demand team on server deliveries &#8211;</li>
  • <li>Resolve purchase order invoice issues with suppliers and Accounts Payable</li>
  • <li>Oversee items delivered to the datacenter are received in Oracle</li>
  • <li>Implement process improvements and automation where necessary to reduce cycle time from request to purchase order.</li>
  • <li>Manage internal customer requests for requisition, and track all steps within the workflow up to receipt in Oracle.</li>
  • <li>Work with network and datacenter teams on tracking delivery to the Point of Presence (POP)</li>
  • <li>Manage and work with Fixed Assets team to coordinate with 3rd party vendor resources for out Point of Presence (POP) location logistics of shipments to/from POPs as well as various logistics needs</li>
  • <li>Lead data analysis including service renewals and cost updates</li>
  • <li>Maintain &amp; publish business metrics for data center server and network hardware purchases &#8211;</li>
  • <li>Review buy requirements and purchase order status at vendor operations meetings &#8211;</li>
  • <li>Develop and maintain accurate and complete standard operating procedures</li>
  • <li>Create part numbers for new items in Oracle, making sure the proper part number taxonomy is followed.</li>
  • <li>Support MCE Team with CapEx and OpEx purchase requests for power utilization, rent and other miscellaneous requests.</li>
  • <li>Manage your quarterly and year’s goals and operational key results.</li>

<p><strong><u>Qualifications<br />

  • <li>4+ years of experience working in Supply Chain or equivalent logistics/ purchasing/sourcing roles</li>
  • <li>2+ years of experience working with Advanced Excel reports.</li>
  • <li>Well organized and detail oriented</li>
  • <li>Educational Background Engineering or BS College Degree or equivalent OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.</li>
  • <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
  • <li>A quick learner and self-starter in a fast paced subject-to change environment</li>

<p><strong><u>Preferred Requirements<br />

  • <li>Experience working with vendors within the Data Center, Telecommunications or Hardware Commodity industries</li>
  • <li>Working knowledge with networking concepts, Points of Presence (POPs) as well as routers and switching hardware is preferred.</li>

<p>The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$167,000.00 &#8211; USD$234,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.</p>
